Every act is a reaction to some other act that preceeded it. When confronted with acts of monstrosity, the warmth of that simple explaination is comforting.

Each monstrous act, in the chain of reactions which lead to and include it, must be singularly and tirelessly denied its misplaced glory in isolation. Just start with the one most repulsive to you. To condone is to partake.

condone:
1. to disregard or overlook (something illegal, objectionable, or the like).
2. to give tacit approval to: By his silence, he seemed to condone their behavior.
3. to pardon or forgive (an offense); excuse.
4. Law. to forgive or act so as to imply forgiveness of.
